Basic Structure of Arabic – Course 01 (B21AR01DC)
About Course
This course introduces students to the basic structures of the Arabic language, focusing on syntax, morphology, and parsing (i‘rab). Learners will study how sentences are formed and expanded, explore the main components of nominal and verbal sentences, and understand complementary parts of sentence structure.
The syllabus covers sentence construction (jumla ismiyya and jumla fi‘liyya), grammatical particles (kāna, inna), verb conjugations (taṣrīf al-af‘āl), and principles of i‘rab (al-mabnī wal-mu‘rab, al-i‘rab al-far‘ī). The course also integrates practice sheets for applied grammar drills, ensuring that learners gain both theoretical understanding and practical application.
By the end of this course, students will be able to construct grammatically accurate Arabic sentences, recognize the four domains of Arabic grammar, and confidently express ideas in both written and spoken Arabic.
